If your child is already at School age

If your child is not on roll at a Medway school you need to complete an in-year admissions application.

If you would like a transfer from one Medway school to another for educational or other reasons, please contact our school office for further details. If you still want to transfer schools you will need to contact Medway School Admissions and they will advise you of vacancies, and provide a transfer form.

Admissions Appeals Timetable for Admissions in September 2024/25

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2024 you would have been able to appeal between April and  May 2024 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by July 2024. 

For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals. 

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeals being lodged.

FAQs for Primary School Appeals

 Nursery

For 3 year old children in the Gillingham area, we have created a highly supportive nursery environment which encourages your child to play and have fun, developing a love of learning under the guidance of a qualified teacher.

We offer both 30 hour full time places (8:40am - 3:20pm) and 15 hour places Monday to Friday. These can be taken as 5 morning sessions from 8:40am to 11:40am, or 5 afternoon sessions from 12:20pm to 3:20pm.

Reception

Children born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020 will be eligible for a place in September 2024.

If your child is due to start Primary school in September 2024, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Tuesday, 16 April 2024).

You needed to submit your appeal before Tuesday 14 May 2024 for it to be considered by Tuesday 16th July 2024. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
