Friends of Barnsole

Friends of Barnsole is a registered, volunteer-led charity made up of parents, carers and school staff.

Our committee is made up of Mel Melvin (Chair), Elaine Robinson (Secretary), Helen Rixon (School Liaison), as well as an amazing team of volunteers.

We organise fundraising events to bring together families, pupils and the wider community. The money we raise helps to:

• Enrich pupils’ school experiences with activities such as visiting performers.
• Provide equipment that supports personal, social and physical development.
• Create opportunities for all pupils to engage in social play.

Together, we aim to make school life even more fun, inclusive and rewarding for every child.

How can you help?

We’re always looking for volunteers to support our events. There are lots of ways to get involved, such as:

• Helping with set-up, tidy-up, or running a stall at our fairs
• Supporting children with wrapping gifts at our popular shops
• Helping with coffee mornings
• Sharing your own ideas and enthusiasm with the team

Whether you can give a little time or a lot, every bit makes a big difference. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do!
