'Soft Start' to the Day

Both sites operate a 'soft start' for all children. Once the gates have been opened the children are expected to go straight into class. Upon entering the class there will be an activity for the children to do until registration.

Collection of Children

Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to collect younger siblings from school. This includes the usual end of day dismissal, plus any after-school activities, including our wrap-around care after school.

Children will only be handed over to those who are listed as contacts in our school office. This includes parents and carers, as well as designated adults who are over the age requirement, who you have informed the school about in advance.

If you require a different adult to collect your child, who is not on the contact list held at school, please continue to follow the usual procedure of contacting the school office in advance.

Punctuality

Please be on time to collect your child at the end of the school day. Children can get very distressed and anxious if you are not there on time to meet them.

For children in Year 5 and Year 6 the school gives the option to travel to and from school on their own. If you wish for your child to go home alone please speak to the school office. Please note, Year 5 and Year 6 who do travel on their own are expected to behave in the manner in which they would in school. As the children are wearing our school uniform they are not only representing themselves but also the school. Should any child choose to behave inappropriately or unsafely the school has the right to take away this privilege.
