Attendance
Regular attendance is essential if children are to make good progress and take an active part in school life. Children should only be absent from school due to illness or medical treatment.
If your child is absent, parents/carers must inform the school on the first day of absence. Please notify us as soon as possible by telephone, in writing, or in person, so that the reason for absence can be accurately recorded in the register.
Where possible, please arrange non-urgent medical and dental appointments outside of school hours.
Requests for absence must be made in writing to the Headteacher. Any unauthorised absence will be recorded as such.
Please keep your child at home if they are unwell. It is important that the school is informed of the reason for your child’s absence, particularly in cases of infectious illness. Advice on when it is appropriate for your child to return to school following an infectious illness can be obtained from the school office.
